The mission of Key Lime Crops is to encourage scrapbookers to connect, share, and celebrate. We believe life is a gift to be treasured and shared with others. And most importantly, we believe that it is impossible for scrapbookers to have too much fun!

Meredith Shepherd is the chief creative officer, owner, and scrapbook supply collector. She has taught scrapbook classes at her local scrapbook store, been published in Creating Keepsakes, and won several best layout contests at scrapbook conventions. She wakes frequently during the night with brainstorms, and keeps a notebook, pen and flashlight at her bedside to record her unending ideas.
Meredith’s house is full of unusual treasures that come in handy for hosting parties of all different themes. After all, one never knows when she might need opera glasses, tiki torches, vintage school books, or a collection of Alfred Hitchcock movies cued to the scenes where Mr. Hitchcock makes his personal appearance. Meredith resides in Oviedo, Florida with her husband Kent and two children.
Susan West is the assistant creative officer, co-owner, and scrapbook supply collector (at least whenever she’s shopping with Meredith—that girl’s a bad, bad influence!). Susan has been published in Simple Scrapbooks and is a former member of the scrapwords.com design team. She does not own any unusual trinkets useful for decorating, and would much prefer a clean shelf to one filled with all that junk! She went to college for a billion years just so she could slap a string of initials behind her name, but now says, “I used to be smart. Now I’m fun.” Susan wants to be a photographer when she grows up. She resides in Idaho Falls, Idaho with her husband Gary and four children.

The name Key Lime Crops celebrates our Floridian origins. Meredith Shepherd, founder and party planner extraordinaire, is a warm resident of sunny Florida. Long time friend and scrapbooker, Susan West, flew from Idaho to join Meredith at a Florida scrapbook convention. They joined efforts in entering many of the scrapbook contests, and kept winning prizes. Finally they thought, “Hey! Maybe we are just a winning combination!” So, while savoring every last tasty morsel of some Godiva Key Lime Truffles, they decided to merge their talents into a business partnership. Of course they could have used their Idaho connections to name the company, but really “Tater Tot Crops” and “French Fry Crops” just didn’t have that same playful ring.

You wouldn’t believe how many logos we designed before Meredith “accidentally” created this one. Funny how your vision evolves. Don’t you love the cute little bird? Used with permission of graphic designer Andrea Victoria. Follow this link for more of her great designs at Designer Digitals.
